Cynario Cynario alpha
Solo project · public roadmap

Where Cynario is headed.

The current release includes six Scene Modes—Decision, Slides, Quiz, Video, Image, and Custom—a production-proven Marketplace storefront, and portable SCORM 1.2 export. Shipped capability, validation evidence, next work, and the optional-service horizon stay separate here.

Current release

Three substantial capabilities reached main

Each card names both the shipped product and the remaining evidence boundary. Deployment does not silently become vendor compatibility or product maturity.

Owner alpha

Image Mode

Still-image regions are spatial presentations of ordinary Outputs, so Rules, effects, Paths, PlayLog, Back, replay, accessibility, and local asset portability stay shared with the rest of Cynario.

Shipped + deployed

The sixth Scene Mode is available for owner alpha testing; broader product feedback is still open.

Storefront v1

Marketplace Discover

Featured, New, Updated, and Browse-all shelves now work with categories, tags, filters, merged-source badges, Scenario covers, and direct Marketplace ↔ My Scenarios navigation.

Production-proven

The storefront is shipped. Catalog supply, release identity, governance depth, and mobile browse remain iterative maturation work.

Portable delivery

SCORM 1.2 export

Export for LMS creates one deterministic, self-contained SCO. Cynario keeps branching, state, effects, media, Back, and replay inside the existing runtime while the LMS receives aggregate progress and result fields.

Shipped + locally proven

Package and emulator conformance are proven locally; Moodle, SCORM Cloud, and vendor import or launch validation remain open.

Sequence from here

Validate narrowly, mature the product deliberately

Now

Close release evidence honestly

  • Synchronize the public roadmap, detailed roadmap, current status, and living release ledger
  • Keep the known Results Workspace CI failure visible instead of calling the release all-green
  • Preserve a final-origin SCORM export-entry smoke when practical

Next

Bounded validation + shakedown

  • Import one immutable package into native Moodle or SCORM Cloud
  • Run the Marketplace owner shakedown and alpha-versus-beta milestone call
  • Choose one Marketplace maturation slice from observed use

Later

Product depth

  • Facilitator-ready starter Scenarios, templates, and use-case packs
  • Touch-native mobile authoring and collaborative Undo, Follow, and Share redesign
  • Organization source/key lifecycle work plus Interactive Blocks and future Knowledge Apps

Horizon

Optional organization services

  • Identity, users/groups, SSO/SCIM, assignments, centralized results, reporting, and audit
  • Later standards only when a named requirement justifies them
  • Additive services around the local-first floor—not part of portable SCORM export

Future content kinds

Knowledge Apps are not implemented

The learning-package boundary reserves an extension seam, but Scenario is the only implemented content kind today. Unknown kinds fail visibly; a Knowledge App model, authoring experience, runtime, storage/import path, Marketplace entity, and exporter remain future work.

Proven locally

SCORM package and runtime conformance

Deterministic packaging, internal XML/ZIP validation, browser emulator journeys, and the exact 4,095 / 4,096 accepted and 4,097 refused resume boundary are reproducible.

Still open

External LMS compatibility

No preserved final-origin export journey, Moodle or SCORM Cloud import, commercial-vendor launch, market-wide compatibility, or production-suitability claim exists yet.
